Condolences
Sharee and family,
I just heard that Johnny B. passed away. I met Johnny as he was good friends with my sister in law Bev and her and Johnny and Jeff would come to the Playtime after work. He was a good man and always made people smile. I’m so sorry for your loss. He will be truly missed. Has his celebration of life been held yet? Kimmie Simmons
Sheree and Linda, I’m so sad to learn about Johnny. ..Joi let me know. I told her I remember how well he could walk on his hands! He smiled easily, a trait I associate with all three of you and your mom. Peace and blessings to the whole family.

John was "adopted" by the Mead family when we lived on Johnson Avenue in Cedar Rapids. He had the biggest heart and smile that I can remember! John spent so much time with our family and was always welcome to join us for supper!! I will always remember my graduation present from Jefferson was a ride with John on his motorcycle!! My thoughts and prayers to Sherri, Linda and his daughter. John, your angel wings await....fly high.....

Sheree and family,
I was so sad to hear of Johnny's passing today. I did not know him well, but always enjoyed talking with him and seeing his beautiful smile when he came to Olivet Neighborhood Mission. He will truly be missed. Please know that he now rest safely and in peace in the hands of our Lord! God Bless you all. Cathy
Sheree and family,
I was heartbroken this morning to hear about John's passing. I remember him being a gentle, all around fun guy. My heart is heavy with the knowledge that he was taken by the virus.
I hold dear all the memories of when we used to hang out together at my old house when the kids were little. And the fun times we had sledding at Harrison on the big 'ol toboggan John made. In the warmer months I would walk to work and look for John on his bicycle downtown. I will miss seeing him and greatly mourn his passing.
You are all in my thoughts during this most difficult time. My heart goes out to all of you.

Linda and Sheree..
I want to send my condolences to both of you. There are so many memories of the times that John and I shared. Far too many to mention here. Bicycling and Boating were two of our favorite ways to spend time together. I remember the house on Hinckley and the houses on 4th Street as well. That is a good many years of good memories. Perhaps we can get together and catch up sometime in the future.
So sorry to hear this and my prayers go out to his family. John was awesome to work with. He drank a gallon of water in our shift, he always had that gallon jug in his hand. I worked with John at Harnischfeger, he and I unloaded all the steel that came in. He operated the gantry crane and I did the rigging. Great man ! Rest In Peace Johnny
