Obituary of James Richard Wade

James “Jim” Richard Wade, age 70, of Coralville, died Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Windmill Manor in Coralville. Due to the current limitations on social gatherings, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with inurnment at Memory Gardens in Iowa City. James Richard Wade was born on December 8, 1949, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Henry Lee and Majel June (Davis) Wade. He attended City High in Iowa City prior to serving in the United States Navy. Jim enjoyed camping at the river bottom in Oxford, mowing on his garden tractor and playing games with his family during the holidays. Growing up his nickname was “The Professor”. Prior to retirement, Jim was employed by Petersen Iron and Metal in Coralville and truly enjoyed his work and co-workers. He was a member of the Coralville Legion and loved spending time there with his friends. Jim is survived by two sisters, Patty (Harry) Edward and Betty (Larry) Snowden all of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers, Mike (Susie) Wade of Windham, Iowa and Rory Dean (Cindy) Wade of North Liberty, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry Wade.
