Condolences
Dear family, my heart is broken for you all, prayers are with you. I grew up in Winterset and was lucky to have known Jeanne for many years. She will always be our choir director and I know she has a place in heaven with Paul leading a multitude of angels in their praise of our Lord. Rest In Peace Jeanne, love you. Stephne Nelson
Kathi, Roger & Melissa,
My sincerest sympathy in the loss of you mother and grandmother.
My fondest memory of Jeanne was at a "Save Your Fork" event at Gloria Dei a few years ago. Kathi had baked and decorated a beautiful cake for the silent auction. I was sitting next to Jeanne and she asked me to make her bids for her. Despite Kathi telling her that she would bake a cake for her, Jeanne wanted this one. I asked her how high she wanted to bid -- she said she had $50 but that didn't matter, her son-in-law (Roger) was good for it! Finally when the bid got to $125 Jeanne gave in and let the cake go.
Jeanne and I shared a special time last fall on a ‘blessed’ day when the colored leaves fell to the ground overnight following an early cold snap. Her joy filled wheel chair ride through the carpet of yellows and orange leaves will always be cherished by me. What a happy human being. I feel honored to have given her that last fall ride through color. My sincere sympathies to Kathi, Pastor Roger and Melissa for the loss you must feel.
Jeanne had a joy that was contagious, but I never saw her as happy as when she was looking through the albums her loving family had put together for her, and telling stories about when all the pictures were taken and how much those memories meant to her. Being of Scandinavian decent, my favorite joke was the Norwegian 10 commandments that she told with a great accent! She will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with all her loving family who miss her most of all.

Pastor Roger, Kathi and all of Jeanne's family, my sincere sympathy. While living in Grand Forks Jeanne was a bright star in our small group of "older" women. We enjoyed getting together for coffee after church, potlucks, and usually gathered to celebrate birthdays and holidays. Friendly, entertaining, positive attitude, smiling----all words to describe her. I will remember and cherish all the good times we had together. May comfort and peace be with you now and always. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. Grandma Jeanne was a good friend of mine
