We always enjoyed Jim so much. He loved to laugh and make others laugh with his stories and jokes. So sorry for your loss.

I got to know Jim when my Dad, Ed Petz, got me on as a delivery person at Swartzendruber Lumber back in the 1970's. There was never a dull moment with Jim around. He, Walt Sandersfeld, Reiny Sandersfeld, Reggie and Sue Swartzendruber, Fritz and for the life of me I can't remember her name right now, in the front office - help me someone - provided me with a lot of memorable working experiences and Jim had story after story to tell. It has been a while since I've seen or talked to Jim, but here was a guy who was willing to help you with anything you asked. RIP my friend. you will be missed.
Thinking of you Mary Sue and family. Though I didn't know Jim, I'm sure this is a hard time for you. I hope you have many good stories about Jim to share as you deal with his loss. Elizabeth Miller

I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I met Jim through the Iowa City Aerohawks and would help him with the auction. Jim served as our auctioneer for nearly 15 years making it one of the best events in the Midwest. He always had a smile on his face and would joke with the bidders. He made our event fun and all he wanted in return was 2 free hotdogs. Our annual event will most likely go on but, it won't be the same. On behalf of the Aerohawks we wish you blue skys and gentle breezes Jim! May you rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.l We will miss you Jim.
So sorry to hear this news. Thoughts and prayers are being sent to the entire family.
I am so sorry for your loss. Sending hugs and prayers your way.

Jim was my favorite "double uncle". I know a lot of people have an Uncle Jim, but this one was special. I can't even picture him without a smile on his face and of course talking :-) He's the Jimmest Jim that ever Jimmed. We sure will miss him. All our love to Mary Sue, Jennifer, Steve and their families. Cherri, Brantley, Logan, Darian and Broderick
