Obituary of Nicolette L. Hargrove

The wonderful impressionable life of Nicolette Lashawn Hargrove was born into time January 21, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois to the proud parents of Gloria Hardiman and Willie Turner. Nikki is the oldest of 8 siblings, Michael – Angie (deceased), Tre, Amber, Willie, Reginal, Kenneth, Nicolas. She loved her family so much. Nikki went to Carl Schurz High School and graduated in 1990. She went to school for landscaping and graduated there. Nikki accepted Christ in her life at the young age of 10. She sang in the children’s choir at her Grandfather’s (The Late Rev. J.F Hargrove) church. Nikki loved being around her mother so much that she followed her to Iowa. She had a passion for caring for people so she worked for Caring Hands and More where her cousin Bruce Teague is the owner. She worked there for many years before she started working for Northwest Junior Highschool where she was loved by many. Nikki loved to laugh and have fun. She married Robert Wright and to this union she had 3 children, Dontrell (Shemekya), Tyler (Kiana), and Diamond; 2 grandchildren, Alysia, and Maliyah (deceased); five aunts, Roberta, Irene, Maxine, Mary Helen, Lillian and a host of nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 4th, 2020 at Good News Bible Church, with a time of visitation from 2:00 p.m., until the time of services. “Social distancing standards will be in place along with the expectation of all in attendance will be expected to wear a mask. If you arrive without one will be provided to you by the funeral home. Thank you for supporting Nicolette's family with your presence and being conscientious in doing so.”
