Condolences
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Villhauer family during this time. Mary was always a friendly face at the ball field concession stand. Sincerely, Cathy and Mike Fountain
Although I never had the pleasure of meeting your mother, what a special person she was is reflected through two of her daughters that I know, Colleen and Amy. Your entire family has my heart felt sorrow for your loss.
Charles and Mary Ellen Alberhasky and Diane, Scott, Jackie and Randy extend our condolences to the family especially to Amy, Jeff and Chris. We will always treasure the memories of our years at Horace Mann, Central and City High.
Much sympathy to the Villhauer family. Mrs. Villhauer was a wonderful person, and the community and especially Iowa City Boys baseball and the children that played benefited from her hard work and cheerful presence in the concession stand at City Park. She always remembered our children, and the kids remember her. I remember her telling me she kept the prices at the concession stand low so they would remain affordable for families. She will be missed by many.
Dear Amy and family - I'm so sorry to learn about your dear mom. She was always so kind when I would come over to visit, and just as sweet as could be. I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers, for peace and wonderful memories through this time. Love you dear friend. -Robin Detweiler Burns
Mary and Howard were so wonderful to the community serving the needs tirelessly of Little League Baseball and always doing it with a smile. I will miss her positive attitude and her handwritten notes. She left a her mark on this earth that will be hard for many generations to surpass. May you rest in peace and once again meet up with Howard in your next life.

My condolences to the Villhauer family for your loss. I remember Mrs. Villhauer being such a nice person, as she was a constant presence at the City Park where little league games were played. She and her husband Howard made a great team and got things done! I think it was July 4, 1974 they were able to get the diamonds playable for all-star play against all odds, as the diamonds were pretty close to flooded. I just remember she was always so happy and friendly. Really sorry to hear of her passing and may she RIP always.

I cannot express how deeply this saddens me. Our family moved to Iowa City 8 years ago, ICBB became a huge part of our life. Mary was the best Treasurer in the world, and her service to the community will always be remembered. Rest in peace Mary, my sincere condolences to the Villhauer family and friends.

Ed, Tim, Colleen and the whole Villhauer clan, I want to express my sadness on hearing of of the loss of your mother. She always seemed to have a cheerful attitude whenever I saw her. She is back with Howard which should make you smile.
I only knew Mary in passing, being a friend of her son Tim, but I have one good memory. As high school sophomores, Tim and I would often walk to school together. I would walk the four blocks from my house to Tim’s, then together we walked to high school. One blistery winter day, I left my house with only a light jacket... as teenagers are prone to do. By the time I made it to Tim’s house I was freezing. Mary took pity on me and gave me a warm sweatshirt to wear. Thanks Mary.
So sorry to hear of Mary's passing. What a great, hard working person. She stayed active til the very end. She will be greatly missed love to all the family. Jerry & Ruth Koepp
