Obituary of Carole A Pierce

Heaven gained a beautiful soul on Friday, November 27, 2020 as Carole A. Pierce entered the gates of her eternal home. Carole Anne Beard was born August 26, 1943 in Iowa City the daughter of John and Thelma (Wyjack) Beard. She attended schools in the Iowa City Community School District graduating from City High School with the Class of 1961. Carole married Frank Pierce in 1963. She worked as a nursing assistant for a number of years before her retirement. Carole had been a member of the Iron Pegasus Motorcycle Club – Iowa City chapter, a member of the Red Hat Society and the former River Community Church. Carole lived her life on earth with an amazing spirit of love, laughter, and compassion. Carole had a gift for music, she was quick witted, and found joy in each and every day. Carole never knew a stranger. Every new beginning for Carole meant a chance to make new friends and create new memories. Carole had many entertaining stories about growing up, which fostered her positive energy, clever conversation, and joyful spirit. Carole’s love for music, her sense of humor, and optimism inspired anyone who knew Carole. Carole loved her family with unconditional loyalty and treasured every moment spent with them. Her family includes her sons; Robert Pierce (Dina) of Kalona, Randy Pierce (Teresa) of Washington, and Rick Pierce (Lori) of Washington, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, David Beard (Sue) of Vallejo, CA and Dennis Beard (Teresa) of Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband, Frank Pierce. No public services are being planned; private interment services will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
