Obituary of Daril C. Hoit

Daril Christopher Hoit, 53, of Iowa City, IA, passed away unexpectedly on November 30, 2020. Daril was born on November 21,1967, in Guthrie Center Iowa, the son of Arnold and Judy (Herron) Hoit. He graduated from West High School in 1986 and then later from Iowa Wesleyan College in 1990. Following graduation he worked at Payless Lumber and then later at Nagel Lumber as the hardware manager until starting his own business. Daril’s enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys Football and Chicago Bulls Basketball teams; also disc golf and reminiscing about the year he worked as an assistant baseball coach at Bennett High School. Daril is survived by his 3 sons, Dalton, Dillon and Brandon Hoit; brother, Darin Hoit (Rae Ann); 2 nieces, Makenzi and Alexis, and companion, Kelly Casey; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Arnold and Judy Hoit, and his grandparents. Per his request there will be no service.
