Obituary of Donald J Beuter

Donald J. Beuter, 58 of rural Solon died Saturday, December 5, 2020, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Public visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Solon. Private family services will be held at 10:30 am Friday, December 11, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The services will be livestreamed for friends and extended family. Donald Joseph Beuter was born October 16, 1962, in Iowa City the son of Nicholas K. and Audrey J. (Musel) Beuter. He was a 1981 graduate of Solon High School and had attended Kirkwood Community College. He has been a farmer his entire life south of Solon, a life that he loved and respected. From the time he was young, he enjoyed hunting and target shooting with friends and family. In his later years he enjoyed trap shooting with his children, restoring an old truck with his son, Morgan; having his faithful companion, Lily at his side, and taking group rides on his Harley Davidson with his friends. His friends and family meant the world to him, especially his two most precious gifts: his daughter and son. His family includes his two children, Megan Beuter, and Morgan Beuter; his parents, Nicholas and Audrey Beuter; siblings, Judith Beuter, Terry Beuter, Mary Beuter, and Tim Beuter (Robyn); brother in law, Randy Ebling; his nieces and nephews, Joe Jedlicka, Max Gaffey, Carissa Ebling, Daniel Beuter, Elizabeth Gaffey, and Jason Beuter; his great nephew, Zavien Culp and his girlfriend, Julie Gibson. Don was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Ebling; his grandparents Joseph and Elizabeth (Elsie) Musel and Nicholas and Margaret Beuter.
