I'm so very sorry to hear about Carol's passing. I was well acquainted with her at St. Thomas More Church. I well remember that for many years, she helped coordinate the Seder Meal. I was lucky enough to help out one year with some of the easier tasks. She always had a smile and a welcome. She will be missed by many. Mary Humston, Iowa City

Carol always enjoyed hearing stories of the adventures I had with the dogs, when I dog sat for their labs. She had a good sense of humor and enjoyed a good story.

Carol graciously offered to host a little birthday party, with a dinner, for me at her home one year. It was a very kind gesture that meant a lot to me.

My thoughts and prayers are with Keith,Emily, and the rest of the family.

Carol came to Medical Associates to 'fill in' when one of the other nurses/lab tech needed vacation or had an ill child, etc. I was already doing that, but sometimes two or three needed the same time off, so Carol came. I was Carol numbered one and she, numbered two. Things got more mixed during the time we also had a Carolyn and a Lynn, especially when the front desk called us over the sound system and we couldn't tell if they had shut if off too early or came on too late! We had such fun, and I always loved working there, especially if my 'cohort' happened to be there that day. She was such a joy. Carol was a loyal friend and part of our small group quilters. She was always a gracious hostess for our meetings and always had great treats to share. There were always stories and sharing of their canine friends. My sympathies to Keith and Emily at this difficult time. Barb Fisher-Krueger

Carol was very generous with her time and talents. She contributed countless delicious food items for those of us who attended various activities at St. Thomas More Church such as the Seder Meal or an evening dance. She had a beautiful smile for those who knew her and remembered to ask for updates about their lives. She always was ready to give updates about Ken's and her daughter Emily's activities. She spent most of her life providing for the needs of the people in the Parish and in the Community. We miss her.

My spouse & I met Carol thru the St Thomas More Free Lunch Program - so enjoyed volunteering under her wonderful leadership.

Medical Associates girls are a tight knit group. We are all so sad to hear of her passing. We loved Carol and had great times with her. She was such a sweet and giving person. She will be truly missed. From the girls of Medical Associates, Linda, Jenny, Justine,

I took garden club trips with her. for yrs and yrs. she attended to this elderly lady hand and sink always putting her first and made her last of the line. I saw her name when I went to visit my friend and looked her up. NOT the Carol I knew. God bless you all and may she rest in peace
