Catherine's warm and generous spirit shines bright in this photo-this is how I will remember her. She cared for Ray with such dedication and tenderness and she will be dearly missed at Legacy. Wishing you peace in knowing that her life was well lived.
I worked with Catherine for many years. I never heard her say a mean or nasty thing about anyone. She enjoyed life. It was great to work around someone who brightened up every day. She will always be remembered. My deepest sympathy to
Ray and her family. Judy Hendershot
John and all the family sorry for your loss. You will all be in my prayers. God Bless you all.
Dear Mick, Karen, and Family,
I’m so sorry for your loss. It sounds like Catherine was a bright light to all who knew her.
John, Barb & Family:
I’m so sorry to hear about Catherine’s passing. I worked with Catherine for twenty years at the Educational Placement Office at the UI until her retirement in 1986, and we’ve been good friends for fifty. For several years we met for monthly lunches with our old co-workers, and more recently we kept in touch through emails. Catherine at one point started calling me an old bag and from then on when she and I would write to each other, I was Bag One and she was Bag Two. That’s how she would sign her emails, “Love, Bag Two.” I am going to miss those emails but am so thankful I saved them. Lots of good (and funny) memories from all those years of friendship.
(May you Rest In Peace.)
We will miss Catherine and her loving and warm energy - she was on the floor (sitting on her knees) playing with my daughters (her great-great nieces) just 7 years ago. She will be missed.

Catherine, you were a faithful, forever friend. I will miss you forever!
I will miss your warm heartfelt greetings and your laughter. Whenever we together, you made me feel like I was
the only person in the room.
You never forgot to send me a birthday card, as I told you this summer. And I would send you one too.
Many happy celebrations with your family above.
Dear Family - My sincere and heartfelt condolences to you. Catherine will be greatly missed. The Grove aunts played such a big role in my growing up (and later) years. Their stories and recollections always had us laughing. I especially remember Catherine’s hearty laugh and big smile. She loved a good joke! And her curiosity knew no bounds. What a vibrant personality! I will cherish my memories of her. Big hugs to you. - Love, Linda (Grove) and John Satorius
