Lawrence "Larry" Kerf

Condolences
I was sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. He could sometimes come off like a gruff old bear, but he had a heart of gold and would do almost anything for his friends. I hadn’t talked to him in years, but I have great memories of hanging with him in the early seventies – closing down the Pizza Hut after pizza and beers, hanging out talking about cars, and most certainly that green ’52 Chevy. That little grin that put a twinkle in his eye and was a dead giveaway he was pulling your leg. Rest easy.
I was saddened to hear of Uncle Larry’s passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his kids, sibling and other family members. He will be greatly missed. You are now in heaven with Grandma and Grandpa. RIP Uncle Larry
I am sorry I was unable to attend I do send my condolences to Gary, Jennifer and Shavaun.
Growing up I remember Larry always having the coolest things like his Trans-Am that always reminded me of Smokey and the Bandit, his jet boat, and that he drove truck.
I don't remember to many story's of uncle Larry and I, but have been told about a few when I was young. Like the time I had went with him in the semi on an overnight run. It was only once as I was more than a handful. Or when I was real young and was being coaxed to say truck, but said f***
I was shocked to hear of this passing, I feel he was to young.
Jackie, I am thinking of you and all of your family during this difficult time. My prayers are with you.

Larry was a kind and generous man. If you ever needed help you could always count on Larry. He helped me bring two horses to Kinderfarm, pulled out the snowplow drivers stuck in our drive, helped me cut down trees, and shared the best melons I have ever had. He loved to talk and always had stories to share. We will miss him.
My husband Mark and I always enjoyed having Larry give us a garden tour when we came out to Iowa for a visit, and we appreciated his generosity in sharing produce from his garden with us. I have tomato juice made from Larry's tomatoes in my freezer right now. He took an interest in my two boys, and was a good teacher when one of them came to help on Brian's farm for a couple months after college. We will miss him.

Larry was a good hearted man who loved to visit, share, and help. He will be missed in this neighborhood! I remember getting a call from him when we were in Hawaii a couple of years ago because he noticed no tracks in the snow at our house and he was concerned.
Larry was a good friend with a kind heart and generous spirit. He was a reliable worker, whether it was driving the grain truck or mowing the lawn, problem-solving mechanical breakdowns or helping in the garden. He took great pride in his own vegetable garden and enjoyed sharing his bounty. He liked to stop by to chat with neighbors and share his extra tomatoes, peppers, zucchini- whatever was in season. Larry took interest in our family and sent birthday and anniversary cards to all of our children, their spouses and our grandchildren. He loved the harvest season and joined the family for cider-making, harvest meals, and celebrations. And he always had a pocketful of treats for the dog.
Larry will be sorely missed.
