May Her Departed Soul Rest in Eternal Peace. Lets celebrate a life well lived.
Will miss my Aunt Sarah. I have been flooded with memories since her passing..things I have not thought of in years. As a little girl she could wipe away the tears and even much later she could comfort me when needed. Kind, creative, and a great sense of humor. Condolences to Roxanne, Richard, Trevor, and Hester. I can only hope in the next world there is a welcoming party as she joins her sisters. Rest In Peace Sarah. I love you. Jackquelynn

p.s. Thank you for posting the service online. It was very nice.
To Bonnie and all my Iowa family- the lovely memories that were shared was beautiful. Loved the signs of the eagle, owl feathers and feeding the birds to honor Aunt Sarah's love for birds. Hope to take a visit to Iowa as soon as we all get cleared of Covid-19.
Love

Dear Bonnie and Veronica,
I was so sorry to learn of the loss of your mother. My mom’s room was right next to your mom’s at Briarwood and I spoke with you recently when we were both visiting at the window. I didn’t know your mom well but it sure sounds like she had a full and interesting life and was dearly loved by all her family. I enjoyed seeing her in the hallway dressed to perfection and always wearing a colorful hat! We share your sorrow in what has been an incredibly sad and difficult time for the Briarwood staff as well as for all of us that have experienced the loss of of a loved one these past weeks. I hope you find comfort in the memories of her 98 well-lived years.

What a wonderful obituary. I didn't know her, but it certainly makes me wish I had. I am so very sorry for your loss.
I didn’t know Sarah or her family. I send my condolences for the loss to all who knew her. But I also send gratitude for her obituary. Not only is it a tribute to her, but a wonderful testament for contemplation as we begin Black History Month. Thank you for telling her story inThe Gazette.
Dear Aunt Sarah,
Always so very kind, patient and compassionate to a geeky teenager who had difficulty fitting in. Sometimes my ‘big sister, always my aunt (my favorite)!
I will miss you, but have a lifetime of memories. You sparked the creativity in me. As a preteen you were my role model. Rest well. You will always be in my heart.
Love always,
Jackquelynn
Aunt Sarah,
Outstanding in her love and affection, not just for her family to all who knew her well. I would have loved as a kid to have her live in Chicago so we could have grown up with our cousins. Her heart was more than enough to give to each of us. Her personality
was admired by us even her way of straightening you out followed by a hug. So very proud to have her as my Aunt and her
Lifestyle reminds me of what Ecclesiastes 7:1 says: A good name is better than good oil, and the day of death is better than
the day of birth. Well Aunt Sarah has run her race , the question we need to ask ourselves is what kind of name are we making
for ourselves. Love to our family
