Condolences
To Steve’s family, my heart goes out to all of you. I was fortunate to work closely with Steve for many years at P&G. So many long talks, laughs, tears, jokes, relationship advice, therapy sessions and a whole lot of memories. And the road trips and beers at his place! He was such a kind, unique soul that one rarely gets the opportunity to share themselves with. Fortunately, I did. A true gentleman.
I’m so happy he got to live out his dream of the cabin in the Northwoods, even if for only 4 short years.
RIP Steve - until we meet again on the other side. ❤️❤️
My condolences to Linda, Tom and Family, shock is an understatement when I heard about Steve. I worked with Steve for many years at Procter & Gamble. Steve was a true and kind human being and wonderful friend, always looking out for the underdog and doing what's right, a true gentleman. Loved life and laughter and never a dull moment when he was around that's for sure..Steve, I will miss your corny jokes and our talks about life. This is not goodbye but until I see you again.
We are so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. His Procter and Gamble family would like to extend our sincere condolences.
Rarely in life do we meet someone truly genuine....A caring, honest, respectful someone that you just feel comfortable in their presence and blessed to be their friend. That was Steve Belger. My husband was fortunate to know and work with Steve for many years. During that time Steve spoke of his dream pretty much every day to retire up in the Mn. woodlands near Ely, Mn.
He realized this dream four years ago. Since we summer just four hours from there we were able to visit and watch the progress year to year . It was very hard in the beginning, uncomfortable living conditions , working very hard but enjoying the adventure of it all. It was lonely, just Steve and nature no near neighbors. By the third year a friend joined him in The Tiny House that replaced the very small camper. This was a "life changing experience." The two became inseparable and shared everything, as Koda grew and grew Steve commented he had to go to Ely to get water more often as Koda was drinking a gallon of water a day. Wouldn't
have made any difference if it was 10 gals a day Steve would have made sure he got it! .His loss breaks our hearts.....we cannot imagine how all his loving family are dealing with this. May God give you the strength to just take it one day at a time and be thankful for the times you had with this precious being.
To the Belger family, My heart goes out to you as I learned of Steve's passing. I was in shock when I learned of this. I worked with Steve for quite awhile on Line 10 when he first started P&G. He was was such a great person to work with and always enjoyed our talks about our shared love of Northern Minnesota. I was very happy for him when he was able to retire and head for the Northwoods!
RIP Steve
Steve was a great childhood friend and was always the "cool guy" we all wished to be ! Amazing athlete in whatever sport he wanted to participate in. Lots of fun memories, thoughts and prayers with the Belger family.
My best childhood friend by far. So many good memories of Steve and your family. He always chose to be himself, and in the best way. Lived his life deliberately.
We were nextdoor neighbors many years later and had the best beer/reunion ever.
My thoughts are with you after hearing of his passing.
Greg

I worked on the line next to Steve at P&G. He was a great guy to be around and work with. I always enjoyed talking with him during our Thursday night "Team Building" sessions when we got off second shift. I haven't seen him for many years, but will always have great memories of him. RIP Steve.
My heart is broken to hear about Steve, High school, considered him one of my best friends ever, spent so much time enjoying nature, talking about each other’s hopes and dreams. Prayers to his family, Steve was loved by many.
To Thomas, Sue, Linda, and all of Steve's extended family,
We were shocked and extremely saddened to hear of Steve's sudden passing. We send our heartfelt condolences.
As seasonal neighbors of Steve's, we got to know him over the last several years as part of our McDougal Lake "neighborhood" up in northern MN. Steve was one of the kindest, warmest, and most genuine people you could ever hope to know. We loved visiting with him and sharing our mutual love of the North woods.
Though a modest and self-deprecating person, Steve was a man of many talents and interests. He was a highly skilled photographer and was passionate about the environment, nature, social justice, and caring for others, particularly his family. He talked of his siblings and their families, including many nephews and nieces, fondly and often. He loved the woods and working on his amazing tiny home -- building trails, planting flowers, and tending the trees and vegetation. He was thrilled when he adopted his affectionate and energetic dog Koda, who simply adored him.
Steve loved to explore the wilderness and his surroundings with his camera, and he frequently shared photos of the area with us. His shots of sunsets overlooking the river from his back door were particularly memorable.
We are so fortunate that we had Steve in our lives even for a short while. We will miss him dearly.

So sorry for your loss. I worked around Steve for many years at P&G, what a good guy and a class act. Always had the time to say hello, always seemed to be happy. One of those people who always made me feel better about my day.
