Obituary of George Thomas Parsons

George Thomas Parsons, 91, of rural Morse, died Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at the Bird House- Hospice Home of Johnson County. Private family graveside services have been held at the Morse cemetery. George Thomas Parsons was born June 8, 1929, in Iowa City the son of Eugene and Clara (Stebra) Parsons. He attended schools in Iowa City graduating from City High School. George married Delores Jean Bulechek on October 16, 1950, in Iowa City. The couple had farmed near Morse for many years, George over 79 years on the farm. Country living, his family, friends and memberships to the Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge and the American Legion was his life, a good life in his words! His family includes his children, Loren Parsons, and Darla Milks (Kent); grandchildren, Liliana Probst, Melissa Ruth (Dan), Megan Parsons, Joshua Milks (Stacey) and Abby Milks; great-grandchildren, John Ruth, Lucy Ruth, Cooper Milks and Bennett Milks. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Delores; daughter, Sandra Kay Probst; 2 sisters and their husbands, Kathryn and Leo Sida and Leona and Victor Mougin.
