Obituary of John L. Faison

John L. Faison, age 73 of Marion, formerly of the Iowa City North Liberty area died Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at his residence in Marion where he has lived. Graveside services remembering John’s impact on everyone that he every met will be held at 3pm Sunday, April 25th. at the Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty. Born with Intellectual disability, John didn’t let that knock the wind out of his sails. If you ever had the honor of meeting John, you met a man that you would never forget. His smile, laugh and positive view on the world was simply over the top. He loved Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, singing along to the Beatles, He would always find ways to keep his caretakers on their toes. He has lived a good life because of all the support he has received over the years, many would have thrown in the towel many years sooner, but John’s attitude and the support he had carried him a long way in this world.
