Obituary of Jacqueline Jeanette Stephens
Jacqueline Stephens was called home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2021.
Jacqueline Stephens was born in Birmingham, Alabama on September 28, 1949, to the late Hugh McCall Sr. and Elizabeth Boseman. She was the youngest of four children, two brothers who preceded her in death, Curtis and Charles McCall. Jacqueline professed her life to Christ at an early age. She moved to Chicago, Illinois at the age of 18 years old, where she graduated from Marshall High School. She loved her family, working in the church and praising the Lord, helping others by cooking and feeding her community. She worked as a seamstress, Home Health Aide, and school teacher’s aide and always wore a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother and friend. She was loved by many.
Jacqueline leaves to cherish her loving memory, her dearest friend Bruce Payton, her children, Vincent who preceded her in death, Andrenette, Jannette (Harvey),Darsonya (Emcee), Alfred, and Carolyn (Brian). Her grandchildren, Bianca (Victor), Herbert Jr., Jaman, Damerius, Frashauna (Juan), Shaquille (Javonique), Jonteze (Crystal), Jakyle, Tysean, Aisha, Jakar, Tranice, Keisha, Shavanna,Victor, Brittany, Aries, Devonti, Khadijah, Brenda and Selena, 31 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by a son a two brothers.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, where there will be a time of visitation beginning at 11:30 Saturday until the service time. Burial will follow the service at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
