Condolences
My condolences to Kathy and her family in this sad time.
Don was always a happy guy the earlier days I knew him. His frequent morning greeting to me was he was great and ‘living the dream”. He will be missed. Love to Kathy

I am one of many folks who met Don on the golf course. We also brought carts up together for years at Finkbine.
On chilly mornings you could count on a big sweatshirt with England on it. He spoke often of his daughter, her family and their life and adventures abroad.
Don enjoyed life, was devoted to he and his spouse staying independent as long as possible, loved his outdoor passions……and had one sweet golf swing.

I remember a time we were playing Amana golf course we were on a par 3. Right before Don was hitting I ask how far it was, he said 150 yards then he hit and as the ball was in the air I asked how far do you hit that club he said about 150 yards then the ball landed and took one bounce and it went in the hole. Don was a special man with a great since of humor. He will be greatly missed bye all of us. Thoughts and prayers. Brad Frantz (Cheesy)
I had the pleasure of playing many rounds with Don, which now will become cherished memories. His ever present smile and good humor were renowned amongst the Iowa City golfing community. To the family, I am so sorry for your loss, he made life just a little bit better!
