Obituary of Frederick Wellington Rumble

Frederick Wellington Rumble, also know as Fred, was born on December 18,1975 in Chicago, IL. Fred attended Near North High School in Chicago, IL. Fred was a member of Rheema Worship Center here in Iowa City. He enjoyed working on cars, going to car shows, and was often known as the vehicle expert when it came to his peers. He also enjoyed watching sports and could be found grilling no matter the weather. Fred enjoyed watching movies and everybody was "wassaname". Fred will be remembered by his wife of 20 years, Ebonie; his four children, Shamari, Shakari, Shakyra, and Shamyra; siblings, Constance and Jude; nephews, Cyrus, Allen, and Glenn Jr.; niece Akeelah and Judaea. His mother, Alice McGee, and father, Rupert Courtney, proceeded him in death. Fred leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Gay & Ciha funeral and Cremation Services in Iowa City. Services can be viewed through livestream tab at this website.
