Obituary of Serena Beth Levy

Serena Beth Levy, age 35 of the areas around Iowa City died Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Serena Beth Berg was born November 4, 1985, in Iowa City the daughter of Roy and Angela (Miller) Berg. Growing up in West Branch she graduated from West Branch High School with the class of 2004. She continued her education through Kirkwood Community College. Serena married Henry Levy in 2009, he later died. Serena enjoyed her family, especially her children, any and all animals and nurturing her artistic side in everything that she did. Her family includes her children, Zekharyah, Amelia and Serenity; parents, Angie and Alton Holderness, Roy Berg, and Jim Sorensen; siblings, Timothy Berg, Tasha McKaughan, and Matthew Sorensen; her grandmother, Sharon Manner and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, grandparents and an uncle, Carl Berg. A time for family and friends to gather to remember, share and celebrate Serena’s life will be held beginning at 2pm Saturday, July 3rd at 733 Stinocher Street, Solon. The plan is a very informal cookout, the only thing you need to bring including yourself is a chair. Food and drink will be provided, but they welcome more.
