Obituary of John A. Cellman
John A. Cellman, age 39 of the Iowa City, Tiffin and Oxford areas died Monday, June 28, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, July 3, 2021, at the St. Mary’s Auditorium in Oxford where there will be a time of visitation from 9am until services on Saturday. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery near Oxford. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his memory. John Anthony Cellman was born October 2, 1981, in Iowa City the son of John Michael and Angela Lee (Keith) Cellman. He attended schools in the Clear Creek Community School District. He has always lived and worked in this area, most recently as a Nursing Techician. John loved his kids, was an avid (Vegas/Oakland/LA) Raiders fan, enjoyed playing cards, visiting the casino and his rabbits. He cherished as did she the special relationship he had with his Grandma Dolores; and those that were near and dear knew how intensely competitive he was in everything he did.
His family includes his children, Sam Rigler and Delilah “Duckie” Cellman; his parents, Mike Cellman and Angela Wilkinson (Dennis); siblings, Mandy Hubler (Vic), Ashley Greene (Jake Leinhardt), and Garrett Greene (Sylvia Wiltsey); grandparents, Jackie and Leo Becicka, Virjean Cellman, and Greg and Sharon Keith; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
John was preceded in death by his grandfather, John “Keith” Cellman; special great-grandparents, Dolores and Wendell Ackley; and Aunt Tammy Harney.
