Iowa City Moose Lodge 1096

It is with great sadness we recently learned of Roberts passing on July 1, 2021.

Robert joined the Iowa City Lodge on March 20, 1976. The 45 years of his membership means a great deal to the Children at Mooseheart, Seniors at Moosehaven and Community Organizations the lodge and its member's support.

Our deepest sympathies for Robert's family and friends.

I'm thankful to have met Rob while caring for him at Briarwood. He was truly a resident everyone loved getting to interact with. He knew his plan of care, and was beyond helpful giving tips on how to make things easier on us as caregivers, which was incredibly thoughtful! He was always so patient if things got hectic and would always reassure us "it's okay! I understand things get busy!" For his patience and grace I am forever grateful. He was also such a helpful voice in guiding other residents who were confused, or didn't have anyone to talk to at meals. Mr. Price will certainly be missed!

My first interaction with Bob was during my mom's first meal at Walden Place. When it looked like there were no available tables I heard Bob say "She can sit over here with us." From that moment on my mom (and I) had a "home" in the dining room. He was kind, caring and protective of her when she was at her most vulnerable. I will always be grateful for his many acts of kindness.

Bob was someone who greeted my dad, Ken, when he lived (too briefly) at Walden Place. They dined at the same table. Indeed, your loved one was an ambassador at Walden Place and had a positive impact on people. Wishing you all the best as your sadness is outshined by only the good memories.
