Bob and Shirley McFarland were two of my mom and dad's closest friends. They did everything together. Whether it was my mom and dad and brothers and sister visiting them at their home in Marshalltown or a thrill for us to visit them at Estes Park, CO where they stayed for many years at the YMCA of the Rockies, Bob and Shirley were always welcoming and gracious.
