Obituary of Jon A. Carlson

Jon A. Carlson, age 77, of Moscow died Saturday, August 21, 2021, at his home. Jon Alan Carlson was born January 19, 1944, in Bettendorf, Iowa the son of Marchael J. and Doris M. (Allison) Carlson. Following graduation from Davenport Central High School he enlisted in the United States Navy. Returning from service he has spent his working career as a mechanic with farm machinery in this area and with West Liberty Oil/Brooke Enterprises for over 20 years. He married the love of his life, Patricia A. Delsing on February 28, 1982, in Davenport. Jon lived for the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and his memberships to Ducks Unlimited, and the NRA. But nothing compared to the love he had for his family, being Dad and Grandpa was simply the best in his book! His family includes his wife, Pat; their children, Chris Carlson (Tracey), Steve Butler, Chad Butler (Sara), Amy Diaz, and Angela Farris (Kevin), 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and of course his furry little friends, his dogs Fritz and Coco! Jon was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Childe. Jon knew this day was coming, had let it be known no fuss for him. He simply wanted to be cremated and taken to his favorite spot, which his family will do.
