Condolences
Dear Scott, I didn't know Deb very well but I know that she was always kind and had a great sense of humor. Sympathy and peace to you as you navigate the difficult days ahead. ~Karen Miller
Dear Scott, I am so sorry to read about Deb’s passing. Thinking about you both, our wonderful neighbors for several years and all the fun times and laughs we had. I guess Cynthia and Deb are having one of those talks now again. Please take care Scott and hope to see you again soon. Blessings always…
I'm so sorry to hear about Deb's passing. I enjoyed working with Deb many years ago at UIHC. I remember her being a great advocate for patients. My condolences to her family.
Scott, I'm so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed seeing Deb here at work at the hospital and joking around with her. She gave me crap and I gave it right back to her. I know her patients liked her too. She was great with patients and would do all she could to make their visit positive and run smoothly. She will be missed. Phil Snipes
Scott I opened the paper and found your lovely wife had expired! My deepest sympathy to you and your family of fur babies, your obituary described her beautifully may she Rest In Peace. Helen Rittenmeyer
Scott, was very sad to open the paper and see Deb's face. My heart goes out to you and your family, including the furry ones. I can hear Deb's laugh. Enjoyed working with her at the hospital years ago. Take care of yourself and sending virtual hugs to you.
Scott

very sorry to hear of the loss of Deb. Deb was a very caring person and would help anyone in need. She had a heart full of love. Scott I am sorry for your loss of your best friend and soul mate. May you find comfort in she without pain and rejoicing in heaven. She will always be with you and watching over you.
We are heartbroken to know that Deb and Scott are not able to enjoy a long and happy retirement together. Deb was a light for me in Urology, always cheerful and optimistic no matter the circumstances, always happy to lend a hand when asked. We bonded over our love of cats and Deb would surprise me now and then with homemade cat toys. Brian remembers very fondly his younger days working for Deb's dad, "Bubbles," as he was known around Keota. Leland and Deb shared many of the same character traits - hard-working, kind-hearted, and down to earth. Our deepest condolences to Scott and the Sweeting and Funston families.
Scott and family- I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. May your many memories bring you some peace and strength. Prayers and blessings sent your way.
Darlene, our prayers and thoughts are with the Sweeting and Funston Families. May God bless you all with strength and peace. John and Cindy
I worked with Deb in the UIHC Urology Clinic for many years until she retired. She could handle any situation thrown her way, and she always went the “extra mile” for our patients. I loved when Deb worked the front desk because I knew things would be done properly. I’m sad to hear that she wasn’t able to enjoy a lengthy and healthy retirement. My deepest condolences to her family.
Went to highschool with Deb. Did not know her well as she was a few years younger. But I do remembe having a lot of laughs with her at a speech contest one time.
I worked with Deb in the Urology Dept, she was such a wonderful person. She would go out of her way to help if you needed it. She has finally has gotten her wings in heaven. Rest in Peace Deb.
So sorry to hear about Deb. She was a great coworker. Anything I asked her to do always got done promptly and correctly. At one point there were 3 Debs in the department and Richard named her Deb 1 and me Deb 2 and the other one Deb 3. Even after Deb 3 left, we still joked that we were Deb 1 and Deb 2. She was a good and caring person, and I've missed her since she retired. She endured a lot, and I'm sorry she didn't get to have a long and happy retirement. My sincere sympathy to Scott and the family. She will not be forgotten.
