Obituary of Donna M. Stumpf

Donna Mae Stumpf, age 81, passed away October 25, 2021 in Tipton, Iowa. A memorial service for Donna is scheduled for Tuesday, November 2nd, at 1 pm, at St. Patrick Catholic Church (4330 St. Patricks Dr., Iowa City). Donna will be laid to rest following Mass at St. Vincent Cemetery outside Riverside, Iowa. Donna was born January 29, 1940 in Riverside, Iowa, the daughter of Simon and Hortense (Bulger) Metz. Donna was a hard worker. She spent her life taking care of her family whom she loved deeply. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and canning her own vegetables. She would play golf with her husband Pete and crocheting when time allowed. Donna’s legacy lives on through those who loved her, and she will be truly missed. Surviving Donna is her beloved husband of 58 years, Pete; children, David Stumpf and Cathy (Gregg) Snyder; grandchildren, April Laney, Amber Stukey, Kourtni Stumpf and Kassidi Stumpf; numerous great grandchildren; and siblings, Ann Metz and Jim Metz. Sadly, Donna is preceded in death by her siblings, Simon, Hortense, Gladys, Dorthy, Urban, Elmer, Melvin, Edward, Vivian, Jerry and John. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Iowa City Hospice or St. Patrick Catholic Church in Iowa City.
