Patti was my good friend and neighbor, and we both worked at American College Testing for many years. I had a CAT FROM HELL named Emmett Kelly, and Patti took care of him when I went on vacations. She would come to my house at 6:30 every evening to feed and play with Emmett, clean his litterbox and "they" would watch Wheel of Fortune together. One time she called me at my sister's house to tell me Emmett had bit her hard on the leg causing it to bleed a lot. I felt terrible and told her how sorry I was that he bit her. She said, "it was my fault. He told me to leave and I didn't!" She refused to take any money--did it out of the goodness of her heart. I could always count on her to cat sit or to give me an occasional ride to work when there was too much snow behind my car. She was a quiet private woman with a heart of gold! I haven't seen her for many years (I moved to Colorado 12 years ago), but I will miss her just the same.
REST IN PEACE MY GOOD FRIEND PATTI. <3
