I’m sorry I am just seeing this now. Major Raynor was our commanding officer when I started work at the Daytona Beach office. At the time, my family was in Chicago and my husband‘s family was in Connecticut. We were struggling to plan a wedding. We finally decided to just get married and not deal with all of the other stuff. We planned to go to the courthouse and be married by the justice of the peace. Major Raynor was incredibly kind and humble and stepped up to offer his services to us. He performed our ceremony in a beautiful garden alongside my parents and my husband’s parents, along with his wife as our photographer. We just celebrated our 30th anniversary and renewed our vows. This is what triggered me to Google Major Raynor. We had also moved to Atlanta. I wish we could’ve connected sometime.
I’m so sorry for your loss. He was very influential in our lives.
