Dear Mrs. Stevenson,
I just wanted to to let you know and hear again from someone who only had the pleasure of knowing your husband for a short period of time that was a very gracious gentleman. Whenever he would see me, and I know that he was the same way with the other tenants, he would say, “Good morning, or good afternoon, or good evening” to me. He did this every time. He was a blessing in my way out or coming back home. We never chatted about our relationships with Father God, but it was clear to me anyway, that he knew the Lord. I didn’t realize that Mr. Stevenson had been called Home until this Monday afternoon, and I am still feeling my personal sadness at hearing about his passing. I know that it is so much harder for you, your children and the rest or the family. I am praying for you to stay covered with Father God’s comfort and peace. I liked when the Pastor said today that Mr. Stevenson heard, “Welcome My Good and Faithful Servant.” That is so very true and I know that he is all right now. God bless you and keep you close to His heart. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen Amen and AMEN.
My Deepest Sympathy,

I didn’t know whether to call Larry a Father, Uncle, Brother, Best Friend, or My Therapist it really just depended on what problem not just me, but anyone had. It didn’t matter if Larry knew you or not he would always take his time, listen to you, open up his heart, and give solid advice and direction. This was a special man, I witnessed kids, teenagers, adults, and even older people stand still and listen when Larry was giving you advice. That is if you deserved it. If you said, did, or planned on doing something not so smart he would definitely let you know by saying “YOU GO DO THAT, AND LET ME KNOW HOW THAT WORKED OUT”. It was always a joy hanging out with Larry whether battling bowling, early on 4th of July when he was barbecuing, or relaxing while listening to him sing MY GIRL, and he can SANG y’all. Larry always lit a room up when he walked in you could feel his good vibe and great energy. Larry was the best friend I can ask for and my mentor. This was a gentle giant who will Truly be missed. -Kevin Dunson(Black)
