Javon you will be missed- your continued voice for inclusion & social justice. Your warm welcome, voice & laughter. RIP ❤️
I first met Javon when I was the crossing guard for Roosevelt School and later working as lunch lady at same school. He was a little spitfire but enjoyed seeing him almost daily and watching him grow up.
I always wondered what happened to him ...when one day I walked into the civic center and there was Javon ...he remembered me and had the biggest grin on his face! A few years later I walked into Hutz Donuts and heard my name. It was Javon...this time we talked for quite awhile about the old Roosevelt days and what he was up to.
He is missed by many, many people..a shining star gone too soon.
My condolences to all of his family. Kenna McKeever
I worked with Javon for years at the UI and always enjoyed his humor during our many conversations. J was a dreamer and always had big plans for the future, it's not fair his life was cut short. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and close friends. Rest in peace.
I always remember Javon as a bright light in the room. He always exuded energy and warmth. He drew people to him. I remember setting up for the spring swing show with his dad. Sending my deepest sympathy for his family. He touched so many lives. Jill and Rich Ross
