Obituary of Adam T. Drilling
Adam Thomas Drilling, 41, passed away at his home on December 8th, 2021. Adam had an infectious smile, a clever wit and a dynamic personality. Adam was a dutiful dog father to Lilly, an energetic Weimaraner, and previously to Bella, a lovable Corgi mix. He frequented the dog park daily and waited tables at Vesta Grill. His charm and mischievous smile will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his four siblings who knew him as Adamons including Amie J Kelley, his eldest sister, Aaron M Drilling, his eldest brother, Benjamin N Drilling, his middle brother, and Elisabeth A Kindig, his little sister. Adam was also close with his niece Laurel Kelley, his cousin Renee Steggall, his aunt Elizabeth Adams and his uncle David Adams.
Born in Cedar Rapids, IA, Adam was raised by his single mother Francie J Kindig. He was a sports enthusiast and a loyal fan to the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls. Adam grew up in Davenport, IA, where he was a math champion, and Iowa City, IA, where he graduated from West High School and was known by close friends as Red.
Red played league basketball on a team called the West Side Ballers and frequented the rec center in his free time.
Adam's undeniable charm and kind, sensitive soul will be deeply missed.
