Obituary of Christie L. Hartison

Christie L. Hartison, age 47, of Iowa City, died Sunday, December 5, 2021, in Chicago while visiting family. Christie was born in Chicago, moved to the Iowa City area where she was always there for family and friends in offering help. She volunteered at the Shelter House, soup kitchen and was the caregiver you could count on for so many people. Her family includes her children, Passion Hartison, Mack Hartison, Benevia Armstrong and Robert Armstrong Jr.; 9 grandchildren, numerous other family members and friends and of course her dog, December who was just like one of her children! Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday, December 17, 2021, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, with burial to follow at the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona.
