Condolences
Kirk & Family....We are so sorry for the passing of your mother. Years ago, when I worked at Morey's & Raymond's in Sioux City, your mom and dad would come to the store to get "Bud some clothes". Your mother and dad were such warm people and your mother so kind and friendly. Since I was a baseball guy and also a Basketball Official and we always had so much to talk about.....the time to buy clothes always took much longer than needed but was such an enjoyable experience for me. Your mon and dad were such great examples for their family and the community. You and your family continue their wonderful legacy. Our condolences and sympathy to you all.

Speraw Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Alice was a special person we adored. She was always supportive of our family and was a great influence to both of us and a true friend throughout our relationship.

Speraw Family,
I got to really know Alice when my boys played baseball at North High! She was such a kind, lovely woman with a definite competitive spirit! As time went on, I’d see Alice drive her car in to North High and watch the games from her car! She would visit with me every time! I felt very fortunate to know her! Her support for the baseball program at North High is remarkable to say the least! The North High baseball family will miss her so much, but I have a feeling she will still be watching the games, only from a much better seat!
Fondly, Susan & Vince Tillo and family!
Kirk and family:
Please accept our condolences on the passing of your mother, Alice.
We so admired your parents in our high school years at North High.
Alice and your father Bud were always so supportive and positive in their interactions with young adults, on and off the baseball field, basketball court, etc.
They were both great role models for high school students and Alice was especially kind to Kris and me in our early years whenever our paths crossed with her, be it traveling to away North High baseball games or occasional contact away from the athletic events.
Please know we are thinking of you and will keep Alice and you and family in our prayers.
John & Kris (Hildahl) Tillo
Paul and Judy Plank send our thoughts and prayers to you, Dorane, Kirk, and Doretta and your families.
Alice, I always called her Butch, was the last person who knew me as a youth as I grew up in the Speraw house in Cedar Rapids. Bud was my role model as I grew up.
With time, may your grief break open your hearts into greater compassion. Judy and I send you our love.
Due to my hearing problem, I regret that we can't be at the visitation in Sioux City, as I do not travel or go out much, but we will be with you in Spirit.
RIP Alice. I used to visit with Alice when she would come to the post office in Sioux City. What a great personality! I always thought her and I would have been great friends in a different time. She was so fun to talk to, always leaving me feeling good.
Prayers to the family, we’ve lost a wonderful lady and gained a loyal Angel ❤️
We are so sorry to hear of Alice’s passing. We all have such fond family memories of our time in Sioux City and so many wonderful times spent with the Speraw Family. Alice was always a big part of that. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Kirk, Doretta, Dorane and families: My deepest sympathies on the loss of your mom. She was such a wonderful woman! I think my first memory of her is driving to baseball games with Bud driving, she was in the front, I was in the middle and Doretta in the back, went to so many games that way! As I got to know her as an adult, it was clear that her family was most important to her, and she was so proud of each of you and where life took you. She was often at the North baseball games when I was home in the summer, and loved following the Hawkeyes, going to the games. Her gardens- both the flower and the vegetable- were amazing to behold, so beautiful with the flowers, so abundant with the vegetables. I will miss her and our visits. May God's love comfort you, along with your many memories, at this difficult time.

My condolences to the Speraw families ❤️
I have fond memories of Alice over the years. Alice was good to give me her words of advice on many occasions.
We shared hours together in her garden, riding in her Gator. Oh, and the many luncheons we had, sharing her delicious homemade tomato soup!
I will miss you my dear, friend Alice!
You will forever remain inside my heart! ❤️
Please accept my condolences, Kirk. I will always remember Alice taking us cheerleaders to all the games. Brave soul. I loved how she always kept you and your dad in line. She was such a beautiful lady. And wow! She had the best chocolate-chip cookies in the world. She blessed many lives.
Deepest Sympathies
I am speaking for Warren , Doran, Kirk, Doretta. My condolences on the passing of your mom. So many years knowing her and bud. A lot of very special memories. For me I was blessed to have your mom treat me as a son growing up and there as an advisor when I searched and met my birth mom. She was an influencer for me . Sorry for her passing. Deb sends her condolences.
Alice was such a delight to be around. Her love for her family and the Iowa Hawkeyes was immeasurable. I feel extremely blessed that she came into my life ten years ago. To the family, I am so sorry for your loss and sending comforting hugs. May your wonderful memories of Alice help you through this difficult time.
