Obituary of Eddie Lang, Jr.

Eddie "Jim" Lang Jr., passed away December 8, 2021, in Waterloo, Iowa. He was 78 years old. Eddie was born November 27, 1943 in Mississippi, the son of Eddie and Bessie Hudson. Eddie was a very happy and cheerful soul who loved to spend time fishing, gardening, fixing cars, and listening to blues and gospel music. Eddie’s family includes his children, Chris Lang, Derrius Lang, Darius Lang and Jamie Lang; ex-wife, Rose Lang; long time partner, Zettie Tate Mosely; stepchildren, Glenn Tate, Veeta Tate-Smith, and Sophie Tate; 41 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and thirteen siblings. Sadly, Eddie is preceded in death by his parents; Eddie Sr. and Bessie; daughter, Trinette; and brother, Robert Lang. Eddie’s family have arranged for a simple cremation in accordance with his wishes. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be scheduled at a later date.
