I just saw the notice of Carl’s death in the Brown Alumni Monthly. I met him in 1967 and, sporadically, stayed in touch with him afterward. He was a good, gentle soul. Rest In Peace, my friend.

Carl was a part of several Bible studies that I participated in at St. Mary Church. You knew that he took time with the study questions each week and he always had thought provoking responses and insights. It was always a blessing to talk with Carl when I saw him downtown at St. Mary's or the Newman Catholic Student Center. We are praying for the repose of his soul and for all who are grieving the loss.

You have my sympathy for the loss of Carl. We worked together at the university as well and we would vist after Mass at St. Mary's often. He was a kind and interesting friend. Sleep in heavenly peace, Carl.

Carl was a family friend for years. He always asked about how everyone was doing. He did all of our charts, which was not a common thing for him to do. Carl attended a Solstice celebration with my family and thoroughly enjoyed having bannock cakes for the first time. It was good to have him as a family friend. Dr. Star, enjoy joining all of the other stars and smile as you look down at those you have left behind. You will be missed, BJ Matson and Family

I knew Carl at the University as he was a chatty person and we would compare notes frequently, I also would see and chat with him at St Mary's noon Mass. He was an amazing person, so sorry for your loss.
