Obituary of James E. Hobbs

James E. Hobbs, 49, died Saturday, April 30, 2022 in Iowa City, Iowa. A Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, May 6th, 2022 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. James was a dedicated friend and hard working. His enthusiasm for life shined bright even in the toughest of times. His dedication to work was beyond measure. So much so that he talked about getting back to work and seeing his friends & work family just days before God called him home. James loved socializing & meeting new people & was (as people would always express) a good guy! There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for anyone that asked if he was able to and even if he wasn’t, he would still try. It didn’t matter if they were strangers he met today or family & friends he’s known his whole life. If it’s asked of him, he would oblige without hesitation & little to no complaint. James leaves behind to celebrate his life, his beloved grandmother Delores Ford, aunt Corliss Ward and a host of family, & dear friends that loved & cared for him. Tommy Hardeman, Tiara Walls, Prakash & Rakesh Patel & family, Litree Walls, Jenarris Stamps , Terrance Miller & many coworkers. You will truly be missed our friend!
