Rest in piece my fellow Viet Nam brother. I worked with Landis for many years in the Educational Consultants Department at AEA 9. He was very knowledgeable in expertise of SE. land is was a true advocate for disabled persons. My most sincere condolences go Nan and his children.

We wanted to share our deepest sympathies and condolences to Nan, Jesse, Eliza and the entire Fick family. Lan always was kind, warm, witty and fun to be around. His love and dedication to his family and friends were obvious and evident in how he treated people. Lan will surely be greatly missed. Rest In Peace my friend.

Robert and I were so sad to hear about Landis. We enjoyed talking to him as he walked the dog pass our house, he always had a story. Our hearts go out to all of you during this difficult time.

I was crushed to read of Landis's death in the newspaper. He and I worked together in the late 80s and early 90s at Mississippit Bend AEA. We both lived in Iowa City and on rare occasions rode to the quad cities together. He always loved talking about Nan, Jessica and Eliza. Please know he was loved and respected by many. I think the greatest tribute to what Landis cared about professionally is that both his daughters went into education as a career. I will be out of town on June 10th so I will not be able to join you as you celebrate the life of Landis. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Nan, Jessie, and Eliza...our heartfelt condolences on Lan's passing. We will always cherish memories of backyard barbecues at your place when the kids were little. Lan grilling burgers, all the kids raising hell in the giant wading pool, and Lan keeping us laughing with his jokes and stories. Good times, with Lan as the leader of the fun! He was a great friend and a wonderful person.
