I'm sorry to hear about Don's passing Edie. Sending thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you Don was such a wonderful man he did such a great job for the Iowa Hawkeyes in the many years that he traveled with us John streif
I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Don.
We were fellow design students in college and later became next door neighbors.
As a fellow photographer we shared a common kinship but our schedules didn't allow but a few chats. My deepest condolences to Edie, Becky & all family. Watching our families grow up in the neighborhood brings many shared memories.
Don was just a nice guy, always a smile and fun to talk with.
I will never forget running slides for Photo Service after football games on Saturday evenings for pickup on Sunday morning, or even later Saturday night.

I was shocked when Becky shared the news of Uncle Don's passing. I'll always remember him with his dark mutton chop sideburns. He will always be my cool Uncle along with my cool Aunt Edie. From the annual letters and some of Uncle Don's postings I've been able to follow some of their excellent adventures.
Sorry to hear of my friend Don's passing. We have been friends for many years. I believe our friendship began in Junior high and grew in High School. We hunted and fished together in those years. Later in High School we joined the Navy Reserved, attended weekly meetings and went off to boot camp atter graduation in June of 1957. During the summer of 1957 we worked together at
economy advertising. We went on active duty together in October of 1957 and we were both stationed at Naval Air Station, Iwakuni, Japan. Our friendship has continued with time spent together when I attended reunions or visited my parents in Iowa City. We also stayed connected with occasional phone calls, usually talking about the Hawkeyes, classmates, and photography. As we grow older we lose friends, but we don't lose the memories. Thanks for the memories my friend. Gary Rittenmeyer
Becky and all the Roberts family - Please accept our deepest sympathies. We are sure Don will be greatly missed. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Take care! Tim and Julie Taylor
