Obituary of Stanley Ziewacz

Stanley Ziewacz passed away on May 18, 2022, at his home in Iowa City, IA at the age of 71. Stan was born March 7, 1951 in Acushnet, MA to Josephine and Tadeusz Ziewacz. He received his BS in Mathematics summa cum laude from Tufts University, an MS in Mathematics from Indiana University, and he continued graduate studies in Linguistics and Philosophy at SUNY Buffalo, and Computer Science at the University of Iowa. He was a lifelong learner, taking courses in the Classics Department at Iowa until the time of his death. Stan held positions at Colgate University, the University of Iowa, and ACT. He is survived by his son, Daniel Ziewacz Babb and his brothers, Tadeusz Ziewacz and Chester Ziewacz.
