Obituary of Gregory L. Johnson II

Gregory L. Johnson II, passed away July 9, 2022 in Iowa City. He was 69 years old. Greg was born July 1, 1953 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Gregory and Joanne (Owen) Johnson. Greg loved his family. He enjoyed watching racing with his kids, whether that was sprint cars in Knoxville or drag racing in Cordova. He loved to fish and appreciated the solitude that it afforded. Greg appreciated the outdoors in general. He enjoyed sitting out by a fire on a nice evening, and seeing the Mississippi river from the deck of a boat. Greg’s legacy lives on through his family and friends, and his memory will be carried by all who love him. Greg’s family include his cherished children; Mike Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Jeremy (Heather) Johnson, Melissa (Andy) Reynolds, Audrey (Marijana) Johnson and Nicole (Shane) Forman; grandchildren, Wyatt, Mason, Emmett, Neil, Rory, Patrick, Jaxon, Junior and Stetson; and siblings, Jenifer, Debbie and James. Sadly, Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Gregory and Joanne. A simple cremation has been arranged in accordance with Greg’s wishes.
