Peace, hope, and comfort to all of you. Because of you my time at St. John, South Euclid was incredible. So sorry for your loss… prayers and love

I am going to miss your smile, gentleness, and sense of humor, Pastor Z! See you on the other side, my dear Christian Friend!
My sincerest condolences to Carol and Tim's family. Pastor Tim got our 2 boys thru Confirmation, so wonderfully and as anyone who knew Tim realizes, he was a gem of a guy. Pastor Zimmermann served as an outstanding leader and friend at Our Redeemer for many years, until his retirement at 65. The Iowa City community was fortunate that Pastor moved here, in 1984 to lead the flock at Our Redeemer. Our and Tim's Lord has called him home and we will all definitely miss him. I was very sad to see that Tim had passed away. He was a longtime regular attendee of the Sports Forum at the Iowa City/Johnson County Senior Center. Several years ago, our attendance during the winter dwindled because so many snowbirds were out of town and the Iowa men's basketball team wasn't doing very well. After a while, only Tim and I came to the Senior Center for the forum. I appreciated his willingness to show up, and we had enjoyable discussions. We wound up agreeing to end the sessions before the college basketball season finished that year, but he joined us when we resumed the forum that fall with good turnouts. Tim was always friendly and was a knowledgeable sports fan. I will miss him. I offer my sincere condolences to Carol Ann and the rest of his family.
