Obituary of David Lee Ness

David L. Ness, age 71 of Iowa City, died Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. His family wishes to thank all the staff especially his nurses for their sincere compassionate care of David during his last stay. David Lee Ness was born January 25, 1951, in Marshalltown, Iowa. His family moved to Iowa City where he graduated from City High School in 1969. During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Marines. For many years David worked for the former Roberts Dairy as a mechanic. He enjoyed life, trout fishing, playing golf, watching Grit TV, always finding time to read, and of course his many pets over the years. His family include his wife, Barbara and many other family members. No public services are planned as to David’s request. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
