Obituary of Narayanrao Shinde

Narayan Parbhatrao Shinde passed away peacefully on September 12, 2022, in Coralville, Iowa. He was born in Navsari, India on February 25, 1935. Through determination and hard work, he rose from very poor and humble circumstances to an executive role in finance for a major pharmaceutical company. He was a voracious reader and a life-long learner with a constant curiosity and thirst for knowledge that enabled him to teach himself over 10 languages. Narayan also had a fondness for mathematics being especially adept at mental math. Narayan was devoted to his family and was a particularly caring father and grandfather. He was married for 50 years to Vijayalaxmi and they moved to the United States later in life to be closer to their children Rajesh (Wendy) and Rashmi (Martin) and their grandchildren, Priya, Ajaay, Mark and Maya. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends as well as numerous others whose lives he touched along the way. Private family services have taken place.
