My deepest sympathy to Emma Lou and family and to all the Downes cousins. Many warm memories of Larry, soft spoken and hard working, fun family holiday gatherings.

Dear Family and friends of Larry,

We began kindergarten at Cosgrove and graduated from Regina High School in 1966.

Larry has always been a caring and fun friend to everyone. Rest in peace dear friend.

The family of Leonard and Gail Feld from Afton, Iowa will miss this Great guy. Dad made the Downes family part of his neighborhood "family" when they moved into the area and we were all very sorry to see them move elsewhere in later years. Our families have shared many milestones over the years. We all loved Larry's sense of humor and his smile. I smile when I recall that he introduced my son to Mountain Dew. Larry's shop was immaculate and he always had the right tool.. Dad loved bringing a project to work on with Larry. I recall they spent hours fixing the used Van that my Dad bought because it had a good handicapped lift and Dad could then take my Mom and her wheel chair out for a ride. That was probably the last BIG project they tackled, but they were always reclaiming some old piece of equipment that could be repurposed. Stan, Michael, Jon, and I want to send hugs and love to all the Downes family. We feel blessed to have known Larry..
