Jim Norris and I have been friends for many years.  I think we met at the Unitarian-Universalist Society shortly after I moved here from Ohio in the late 70's.  We have had many adventures together, including exploring Grinell where he grew up and got his college degrees. We used to tease him about his degree and how it  was probably  responsible for him getting the jobs he held with the USPS  over the years. He predicted the areas he was sure I would be interested in at the Senior Center when I finally retired.  It turned to be different but he was responsible for my involvement at the Center which is a big part of my life now..

Jim was a very intelligent person and a truer friend one could never have.

I knew Jim for years since he worked at Sherwin Williams and i was a customer...later he helped with the care of Dr.John Gerber and roomed there before going to Oaknoll....he was a student at Grinnell College of Elena Ponseti who always spoke highly of him...he recounted being in Alaska after graduation and being injured during an earthquake......very intelligent and thoughtful...
