Obituary of Vicky Lorraine McKnight

Vicky Lorraine (Johnson) McKnight, 76, of Iowa City, passed away peacefully at Legacy Gardens in Iowa City on November 6, 2022 with her family by her side. Vicky was born on June 29, 1946, in Burlington, Iowa, to John Oscar and Florence Kathleen (Sheridan) Johnson. She graduated from Burlington High School. Vicky married Lee McKnight on March 7, 1964. She is a graduate of Burlington (Iowa) High School, and her family includes her husband Lee, sons Scott (Kim) of North Liberty, IA, and Bradley of Shawnee, KS, daughter Rebecca Christie of Studio City, CA, sister Marlene Brissey of West Burlington, IA, and grandchildren Nikolas McKnight of Salt Lake City, UT, Katherine McKnight of Shawnee, KS, and nieces and nephews. Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, sister Diana Neeley of Oregon, and brother Christopher Johnson of Burlington. Vicky was a homemaker most of her adult life. She was a great cook; some of her special dishes were tenderloins, enchiladas, peanut butter fudge, chocolate frosted cakes and homemade pizza, enjoyed by the whole family. Vicky’s family have arranged for a simple cremation in accordance with her wishes. Please continue to keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
