Earl, callsign N0CHN, was a charter member for the past 20 years and past Washington Area Amateur Radio Club (WAARC) Vice President. .Earl had been very active as he was an ARRL volunteer examiner helping grade Amateur Radio license tests for decades. He had been the Southeast Iowa Hamfest coordinator for several years, past member of the Eastern Iowa DX Association (EIDXA) as well as the Iowa City Amateur Radio Club (ICARC). Only about 7 or 8 years ago Earl decided he would give up climbing towers. He had been a regular on the HF Eyebank net and local 2 meter nets. He had helped with licensing classes in the early years of the club and with Ham radio demonstrations at area schools and libraries. He always tried to be a helpful Elmer (mentor) to new Hams with his equipment and knowledge. Earl was my "go to" guy for help with about everything.
Earl, you will be missed greatly. 73 and RIP...
