Obituary of Daniel L Dunham

Dan Dunham, age 69, died by natural causes in his recliner at home, holding the TV remote on February 7, 2023. Dan was proud to be a native Iowa Citian, alumni of City High and University of Iowa, and an Army paratrooper in Vicenza, Italy. He was a big, strong man with a big heart. He was a good athlete as a young man and always a Hawkeye fan. Dan was a good man whose needs were few: the love of friends and family; a good dog; cooking, eating and sharing good food; and riding around the county side (ideally on a motorcycle). He was upbeat, nurturing, and a fun storyteller. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, especially Mary Johnson and dog Shorty; siblings, Cyndi (Luis) Gonzalez, Diane McDonald (Mike); Dave Dunham (Sue) and Doug (Linda) Dunham; and many beloved extended family members and friends who were blessed to know him. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Kathleen and Gerald Dunham and dogs BooBoo and Judy. Per his wishes no services are planned at this time.
