It saddens me to read of Martha's death. Her obituary says that she enjoyed helping others and she did a great job of it! My youngest sister was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September. My mother-in-law suggested I contact her friend, Vilda's, daughter.
I called Martha in October. She was both delightful and positive. She took more time than she needed to and gave me great advice, which I passed on to my family as we dealt with our sister's illness. I had a few more questions later and she graciously answered my text. She became known as "Marvelous Martha" in our family because she had such steadfast and sage advice, which we all used at times. My sister passed away in December and I decided I would reach out to Martha later. I did not want to bring her discouraging news when she had been so positive and helpful to us. Martha will be missed! She was such a positive force in this universe
