Condolences
Dr. Kent Pearson’s legacy continues. He was respected and appreciated by his patients, colleagues, friends and family. I sought his advice and involvement with many of our very ill patients scheduled for surgery and intensive care admission. His courage and vulnerability were shared with us at an invited presentation on his personal experiences with Parkinsons. I was so happy when he and Becky decided to share their lives. My heartfelt condolences to Becky and all of Kent’s and Becky’s family and friends
Dr. Pearson was one of the kindest doctors in the department when I first started there as a secretary. He always made time to ask how I was getting on. May his family find comfort in the many memories that they created with him.

While it has been many years I can still hear the tenor of his voice and the way he taught so patiently and with great care. Condolences to the family.
As a new nursing graduate in the SICU (13 years ago), I was greeted with the most gentle kind hearted physician. He always had teaching moments during critical times, I will forever be grateful for his presence and knowledge.
I am so sorry for your loss, but though all of the people he touched; he will continue to live on.
Dr. Pearson was such an incredible mentor to me. He taught me so much about being an anesthesiologist, intensivist and all-around human. Every trainee that has ever worked with me has heard at least one saying of his come from my mouth. His legacy will live on. I am so grateful for the mark he left on my career. Becky and family, I send you so much love and wish you much peace.

Becky,
Mazen Maktabi here. So sorry for your loss. Kent influenced my life in so many good ways. What a wonderful human being he was!!! What a wonderful and compassionate doctor he was. I will miss him.
Becky and family,
Sorry for your loss. Kent was an awesome colleague. I learned a great deal from his practical, caring , and compassionate approach to anesthesia and critical care. He was a wonderful role model. I wish I could make the memorial tomorrow, but I will be out of town.

Through his role in the intensive care unit, Ken cared for, and taught others how to care for, the sickest patients in the state of Iowa. I relied on him many times for advice on patients who needed critical care. He always helped, while educating me in the process. During his time in the department, he created many more resources that he consumed. He was a man of integrity and a loyal, dedicated, and extremely effective member of the department.

Becky and Family. Please accept my sympathy. Dr Pearson was a very well respected physician at UIHC. He and I worked together for over 20 years....we had some tough conversations over the years but I do believe we respected each other. I appreciated his passion for his work, his clinical expertise and his willingness to always do the right thing. He has been and will be missed at UIHC. Please Take Care, Sue Witte, LMSW
